the mountainous shaped rooftop with integrated photovoltaic sensors and the outlying translucent facade of horizontal stripes represents the department of defense as a new icon of paris. the intra-muros structure of the 165.000qm project achieves a free space ground floor to conflate all patios. through the three chimneys the building is naturally ventilated.
